Ford & Stanley have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Telecoms Project Engineer. As you would expect working for an industry leader, you will be working on some of the biggest and most prestigious rail projects across the UK. The Opportunity

Provides pre and post-sales engineering services (i.e. technical demonstrations, support and installations services), to support both assigned sales teams and/or dedicated customers with technical expertise, cross regional for Solutions Business

Role and Responsibilities

  • Prepares detailed design documentation for approved projects Pre and Post Sales including site surveys
  • Completes internal design reviews for project documentation prior to release to ensure compliance with relevant specifications
  • Support planning, installation, configuration or Integration service, for customers and partners
  • Coordinates product samples for testing, gives technical advise and presentations, and solves integration issues
  • Coordinates resources in product development and production, and clarifies all technical questions
  • Coordinates collaboration with 3rd-party manufacturers or system integrators after consultation with the factory
  • Analyses technical issues at all stages, and facilitates problem solving with CS and factory involved
  • Provides regular reporting of the technology adoption and opportunities
  • May provide testing, troubleshooting, and ongoing support, in cooperation with CS
  • Supports exhibitions, fairs, product demonstrations and trainings, in cooperation with Marketing
  • Support product roll-out by advising customers and solving specific customer problems

Essential Skills

  • Relevant University Degree or equivalent practical and vocational knowledge and experience
  • 2+ years of relevant experience in the telecommunication field, ideally on broadband or Radio or GSM-R
  • Proficient understanding and know how in processes, technologies, products or other relevant field of expertise
  • Effective utilization of recognized planning, analytical or conceptual principles and techniques
  • Understanding and applying principles of effective project management
  • Ability to apply technical data knowledge to provide sound analyses in order to drive results significantly and support respective management decision
  • Understands impact of legislation and law regulations relevant to the business or function
