Team Leader

Introduction to the position:

As a Team Leader, you will directly support your Line Manager and work alongside the Manager to promote and reinforce the company values. The Team Leader will be a specialist in their field, looking to inspire and motivate the team, coaching others to fulfil their potential as consultants. As Team Leader you will exercise a level of discipline within the department and encourage others to work to follow your lead.  
 
Specifically, you will lead by example in all areas relating to the company values of passion to win, customer focus, innovation and fair play. Each of which you will have a crystal-clear understanding of.
 
You will deputise for the Manager, taking over that role in their absence and working together to form strategies and objectives for the team. 
 
 

Key responsibilities:

Achieve daily, weekly, monthly and annual sales and productivity targets by:
  • Sourcing and interviewing candidates that are relevant to your sector and clients
  • Generate new sales opportunities by identifying and following up on leads gained from candidates, clients and networking events
  • Manage end to end selection process supporting the candidate right through to first day of employment
  • Promote the services of Ford & Stanley through networking events and client interaction
  • Negotiates and compiles SLA’s, in conjunction with the Head of Department
  • Collaborates with line manager in drawing up annual business plan
  • Manages vertical desk, working towards KPI’s
  • Actively seeks ways to support continuous improvement processes
  • Manages day to day personnel within your team.
  • Regularly check in with the team to clarify their work status and support where needed 
  • Source relevant candidates by networking through existing contacts & industry specialists and reaching out to passive job seekers
  • Recruits internal staff
  • Identifies and investigates marketing plans
  • Actively seek solutions to potentially problematic roles
  • Interview candidates that are relevant to your sector and clients ensuring you have a sound understanding of their skills, motivations and career aspirations
  • Support and inspire junior members of the team alongside the Team Leader/Head of Department
  • Encourage and provide guidance to the team when required and promote effective networking practice

Experience and qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years’ previous recruitment sales experience 
  • Leadership of a recruitment team
  • Training and developing a team
  • GCSE’s, at least 3, A-C.
  • Certificate in Recruitment Practice desirable
  • Appropriate degree desirable
