Bid Manager - Rail (Manchester)

£50,000 - £55,000 per annum

Ford & Stanley – The Rail Recruitment Experts are working closely with a tier 2 rail contractor in the North West of England, who due to some internal movements and restructuring are now looking to bolster their bidding and business development function by bringing in a Bid/Tendering Manager who will support the strategy and future growth of the business as they look to continue their work in the rail industry and potentially look to expand into other areas of infrastructure such as highways.

Qualifications & Experience 

  • Qualifications and training - Degree qualified in related subject, preferably chartered or similar - Excellent IT skills (excel, word, etc)
  • Technical skills and experience - Must present professionalism, competence and credibility at Client meetings, presentations and negotiations
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills and accomplished in establishing strong working relationships with colleagues and clients
  • Experienced in operating at senior manager level in a bidding / commercial / operations capacity.
  • Thorough knowledge of the UK rail market knowledge of Highways market would be advantageous Preparation and management of high value bids preferably in the Construction and civil engineering environment
