Ford & Stanley – The Rail Recruitment Specialists are currently working with a business who are at the forefront of the innovation with the rail industry.

Our client is needing to recruit a Commercial Systems Configuration Manager to ensure our clients customers experience is first class and manage a broad Retail Transformation Project. They will be responsible for ensuring the right configuration of commercial and retail rules using the rule management engine through various channels (Apps, New Website, Ticket Office Machines), mainly within TIS (Ticketing Issuing Systems).

Our client needs someone to enter the business who is capable of group managing Retail Systems for Ticketing Issuing Systems. They need someone who can work with delivery managers, pricing teams & product owners to define the set of requirements dedicated to a specific customer segment as required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Product owner for our clients Retailing Platform. The role holder is the primary contact for the Retail Platform with the Service Provider.
  • Ensure integrity of configuration of the Retailing Platform
  • Participate in Change, Release and Transition Management process for Retail Platform. Lead in prioritization of potential changes
  • Administration: hands on data entry into Retailing Platform
  • Authority on testing and Quality Assurance sign off for change into Retailing Platform
  • Act as the link between other business product owners and Retail Platform. This will be channel owners
  • Actively operate within Incident management processes when required
  • Perform Data Protection Impact Analysis, when required as part of our clients GDPR compliance regime
  • Key link with Digital, Delivery and Commercial teams to provide Management Information reporting from the Retail Platform
  • Extract data and reporting as required from Retail Platform

Candidate Skills

Essential

  • Extensive experience in rail station retail, preferably in a ticket office
  • Knowledge of relational data dependencies and configuration of rules-based engine
  • Good knowledge of database structures and hierarchical data structures (excel or access)
  • Experience in retail back office

Desirable

  • Other TOC experience in retail
  • International project experience
  • Knowledge of Italian language
