Ford & Stanley GENIUS exhibits at Rail Safety Summit
Ford & Stanley GENIUS proudly sponsored and exhibited at this year’s Rail Safety Summit.
The event, organised by Rail Media was held on 30th and 1st May 2015 at in Royal College of Physicians in London. This year's Safety Summit covered many of the Industries burning topics and saw Mark Carne, Chief Executive of Network Rail, as Keynote Speaker for the event.
Over the past few years there has been a significant push to improve the safety record within the industry. This has often meant significant change both in design and process. However, Ford & Stanley chairman, Peter Schofield, co-founder of the GENIUS programme, was keen to exhibit at the event to highlight the bigger issues of health, in particular, mental health at this year’s event.
"There is a vacuum being created by all the media coverage of mental ill-health and, if we're not careful, that vacuum will be filled by employers adopting services that tick a box, but without actually providing employees with the kind of support that will actually make a difference" Peter said.
GENIUS is different because it completely de-stigmatises the issue of mental health, therefore has a high take-up rate. Speed of access and resolution, the level of employee engagement it creates and, ultimately, the quality and experience of the Ford & Stanley team of practitioners means employees are happier, healthier and more productive. This creates a win-win for both employer and employee.
