Rail attends YRP Annual Summer BBQ
Our rail team joined the YRP for their fourth Annual Summer BBQ at Doggett’s Coat and Badge in London on Friday 5th July. The bar and restaurant which overlooks the Thames from its 3rd floor terrace bar, played host to the sold-out event which saw over 100 young rail professionals in attendance.
The event itself was designed to offer an informal networking opportunity for young people working in the industry, or even those who feel they may be interested in the future, to come along and discuss it over a burger and a drink.
Daniel Taylor, Head of the Rail Team commented: “As one of the only recruiters that attended the annual summer event, we were able to raise our profile with the young professionals and found the event to be really worthwhile. I made some great contacts during the evening.” He added, “The Doggett’s Coat and Badge was the perfect backdrop, overlooking the Thames on a warm summers evening, everyone was in high spirits and was privileged to have been surrounded by such talent on the night.”
Hannah Dimond, Marketing Executive added: “It is important for the rail division to put their name on the map, and these types of events give us the perfect opportunity to raise our profile and increase brand awareness with the candidates of tomorrow. The YRP is a fantastic organisation and we look forward to working with them in the future.”
The YRP was founded in 2009 with the aim of bringing together young professionals from across the global rail industry. Since then it has expanded rapidly and continues to grow as more and more young people join the industry, holding many seminars, conferences and social gatherings such as this one.
