Highly commended at the 2013 Rail HR Awards
The Rail HR Awards highlight the best talent that the industry has to offer and recognises the excellent work consistently carried out by the best talent in rail HR, recruitment and training. This year’s event was held on Friday 6th December, at the ICC in Birmingham with a “Narnia” theme. Sponsored by Network Rail, TfL and RailwayPeople the awards ceremony saw over 300 industry professionals come together to enjoy an evening of celebration. Entertainment on the night was provided by Fully FunKtional and ventriloquist Paul Zerdin.
Ford & Stanley Rail were “highly commended” for our work with ESG Rail in 2013. We spent a considerable amount of time working with ESG to understand their employer/employee value proposition to help establish and define the “message” we were going to take into the marketplace for their recruitment campaign. This message was defined to enable us to attract the best possible talent and the highest calibre of managers within the industry. From this EVP, we were able to increase ESG’s brand awareness within the marketplace and establish the business as an employer of choice. This was demonstrated by increasing ESG’s direct candidate applications by 100%. We recruited 3 senior management positions for ESG in the first 6 months, Director of Railway Approvals, UK Head of Sales and Head of Project Management, all of which are key positions within the business.
Daniel Taylor presented the Training Person of the Year award to Keltbray who pipped 19 other finalists to the post for their work within the rail industry in 2013. Karl Howe of Keltbray received some outstanding comments from his clients, of which, some were highlighted on the evening.
Head of Marketing – Hannah Dimond commented “This was not only the first ever Rail HR Awards ceremony, but the first awards we had entered and we were honoured to have been highly commended for our work with ESG. 2013 has been a great year for the business and to receive this accolade has been the cherry on top!”
Daniel Taylor, Head of Practice for Rail added “I am extremely proud; it’s been a massive year for the team. The Rail HR Awards really summed up what has been a fantastic 12 months packed full of achievement. To be finalists for 3 awards, being asked to present an award and walk away from the evening with a trophy in view of our competitors demonstrates what it is we are striving to achieve here at Ford & Stanley. A huge thank you to the team and of course our clients and candidates who make such things possible.”
