Continued growth with key appointments

2 March 2015

Ford & Stanley has continued the growth of its recruitment business with key appointments to further boost its rail operations.

Two new rail recruitment consultants, Richard Wright and Ben Anderson, have been joined by a talent sourcing specialist and a recruitment administrator as the company continues its expansion in support of employers both regionally and nationally.

Richard Wright, a qualified civil engineer, joins the team as a rail infrastructure specialist, as does Ben Anderson, who is experienced in rail manufacturing and supply chain recruitment.

Emma Rees will work with key clients as talent sourcing specialist, whilst Emma Watkins joins the company as an apprentice through Derby College.

Peter Schofield, Ford & Stanley chairman, said: “It is vital that as companies within the rail sector continue to battle for the available top talent, we are right at the forefront of expertise and knowledge on both the candidate and the employer sides, so that we can provide best service to both.

“Growing our team with the right people puts us in that position. During 2014 we were successful in attracting some superb talent in the recruitment, training, mental health, HR and advisory board teams at Ford & Stanley so there’s a real excitement around the business about the future.”

Mr Schofield said he was delighted to add his first apprentice to Ford & Stanley.

He added: “The critical skills shortages that we are supporting our clients with today, in no small part have their roots in the demise of apprenticeship schemes since the 1970's and so it is great news that they are now increasing in popularity amongst employers and young people making early career choices.

Whilst we will continue to expand our team of experienced consultants, apprenticeships are a perfect way to introduce new talent to the industry, and exposing them to all aspects of it whilst they continue their learning.”
