Passing the Red Velvet Rope
Ford & Stanley held their annual Recruitment Open Evening on Wednesday 11th July 2017, which welcomed candidates to our head office in Derby. We gave people the chance to have a look around our recently refurbished offices, the opportunity to meet with the team – ask questions about what it’s like to work here and provided a relaxing environment to get a feel for the Ford & Stanley 'family'.
At Ford & Stanley we talk about the ‘Red Velvet Rope’ theory – whereby we only recruit those willing to live the values, who will honour the team contract and uphold the culture of discipline within the organisation. This is specifically why we aim to recruit those with a strong moral compass, and believe that honesty and ethics are the real reason why people succeed, rather than on experience alone.
The evening was a true success – we welcomed attendees ranging from those with little sales experience, and a real desire to progress their careers to the next level, to seasoned recruiters looking to join a progressive business with real integrity.
Our GENIUS Consultant Andy Duncan was also on site to offer advice on taking the first step into a new career in recruitment and handling counter offers (which forms a part of our OnBoarding offering).
